There are a few situations where a second charge may appear or seem to appear after a purchase:
- When a payment fails, an order number may still be generated, which can be confused with a successful purchase. A receipt email with a transaction ID will be your confirmation of a successful purchase.
- Banks sometimes charge a small, currency conversion or international transaction fee (Mojang is located in Sweden).
- Sometimes a bank or payment partner may temporary reserve the purchase amount on your account, that can be confused with a second charge. These holds are usually resolved within 24-48 hours.
- If you have accidentally purchased the game directly in your account as well as a gift code. You can see your purchases from your Mojang account profile.
If you believe that you have identified a duplicate charge, please locate the confirmation emails containing your transaction ID, contact customer service, provide us with the ID, and we will reverse the extra charge.
