We strongly recommend that you don't enter your account credentials into any third-party websites. This is because we have no control over how third-party services handle and store your sensitive account information. This can include third-party launchers and unofficial cape changing services.
For example, OptiFine is in no way affiliated with Mojang or Minecraft.
If you have visited one of these sites and are unable to access your account, contact Minecraft support for more information. We will help you secure your account and avoid this happening in the future. We are, however, not able to assist you if you purchased your account through an unauthorized reseller or alt dispenser.
Also, if you're receiving a server connection error message in the game launcher, it could be that the issue is caused by some third-party Minecraft software that you have installed. If you have downloaded any third-party Minecraft software to your computer, please uninstall it and try again. However, if you have downloaded MCLeaks, please try the following:
- Run MCLeaks
- When you get the option to choose "MCLeaks" or "Mojang", choose "Mojang"
- Close and uninstall MCLeaks
- Log into Minecraft using the regular launcher
