Where Can I Buy Minecraft: Java Edition?

Minecraft: Java Edition can be played only on PC: Windows, MacOS, and Linux

You can buy Minecraft: Java Edition from minecraft.net for $26.95 USD or local currency equivalent. This is a one-time purchase. You can buy an account for yourself, or buy a code to gift to someone else. Gift codes may not be available in all areas.

Where Can I Buy the Bedrock Versions of Minecraft?

Minecraft (Bedrock) is available on the following platforms:

Mobile devices (Android and iOS)

Nintendo Switch

PlayStation®

Windows 10 and above

Xbox (Xbox 360, One and Series X|S)

Here is a list of the different Minecraft editions with prices and where it is available for purchase.

There are several payment methods available. Select your country when you are purchasing your game, and the site will automatically list the payment methods available for you.

Prepaid Minecraft cards are also available to customers in select countries. Visit http://minecraft.net/prepaid for store locations. Prepaid cards are coming soon to additional countries.

 

Educational Discounts

If you represent a school, museum, library, or other organization that wishes to use Minecraft for educational purposes, visit Minecraft: Education Edition for information about bulk and educational discounts.

 

Do I Need to Buy Minecraft Again?

If you haven’t played for a while or you’ve switched devices, you do not have to buy Minecraft again.

If you need to download the game again, visit our Download page and follow the instructions for the version you prefer (or all of them, if you want).

 

Minecraft for Android

Launch the Google Play store on your device.

Search for Minecraft.

Select Install and launch the game when it is finished installing.

 

Minecraft: Java Edition

After you download the game again from the preceding link, select Log In from the upper left-hand corner of the launcher and get going!

 

Minecraft for iOS

Launch the App Store on your device.

Search for Minecraft.

Select Install and launch the game when it is finished installing.

 

Minecraft for Nintendo Switch

In the home screen menu navigate to the Nintendo eShop application on your device and launch it.

Search for Minecraft in the upper right.

Select Install.

 

Minecraft for PlayStation®

After you are logged in to your PlayStation® account, on your console navigate to the PlayStation® Store.

Search for Minecraft.

Install the game when prompted. If you already have the game installed the option to install will not appear.

 

Minecraft for Windows

Using your Microsoft account, sign in to the Microsoft Store on your PC.

Click the three dots in the Microsoft Store next to your profile picture.

Go to My Library. If you already own the game, you can download it from there.

 

Minecraft for Xbox

Select the Xbox button to open the guide (the menu on the Xbox console), and then select My games & apps > See all.

Under Games, you will see all games you own.

If a game you own has not yet been installed on your console, you will see a download icon on the game title. Selecting the title will prompt you to install the game.

If you are not able to find a copy on your device, please make sure you are logged into the correct account.

I Purchased Minecraft from an Unauthorized Seller; can I get a Refund?

If your purchase was through a re-seller website, we will not have a record of it and cannot verify your claim regarding the account or provide you with support. 

Re-selling a code violates our Terms and Conditions. We cannot refund codes purchased from unauthorized retailers; we only refund a purchase at the request of the original buyer per our refunds policy. 

If you have made your purchase from an unauthorized seller, we're not able to refund you and you may wish to dispute your purchase directly with the seller.
